The concept for Mister Smooth emerged as I reflected on my early years as a guitarist and music lover. I vividly recall the infectious grooves of rhythm guitarists from James Brown, The Commodores, The Isley Brothers, Roger Troutman and Zapp, The S.O.S. Band, Midnight Star, and Chic. Their ability to bring songs and grooves to life truly inspired me. As I set out to create the music for Mister Smooth, I made sure to incorporate this rhythmic essence.

With a strong background in rock ‘n’ roll, influenced by iconic players such as Alex Lifeson (Rush), Carlos Santana, Steve Vai, Eddie Van Halen, and Jimi Hendrix, I infused elements from their styles into this project. My vision for Mister Smooth is to deliver songs that radiate a powerful groove or funk orientation, while allowing jazzy guitar melodies to float effortlessly above. Additionally, I’m excited to bring in the richness of acoustic piano and saxophone to elevate the musical experience. Mister Smooth is poised to merge these dynamic influences into something truly memorable.
