The label also expands its roster with the signing of R&B/jazz singer‑songwriter Alli’ Starr, whose Innervision Records debut, “Samba Love,” arrives January 16.

 Guitarist Blake Aaron notches his 8th Billboard No. 1 single the same week flutist Kim Scott goes No. 1 on the Mediabase singles chart. The label signs Smooth Jazz Alley and will release the band’s first single for the imprint next month.. It was a first in the 27-year history of Innervision Records, Billboard magazine’s No. 3 Smooth Jazz Label of the Year for five consecutive years. The indie label had two No. 1 singles by two different artists atop two national singles charts, Billboard and Mediabase, concurrently.

A model of high-level consistency as evidenced by being named Billboard magazine’s No. 3 Smooth Jazz Label of the Year for the last five years, Innervision Records is making moves to move up the chart by inking guitarist Richard Smith, who will release his label debut single, “Bring It In,” on November 1. The imprint’s fall release schedule also includes new singles by Billboard chart-topping flutist Kim Scott, drummer Pat Petrillo, and keyboardist Cal Harris Jr.

As we wrap up 2022, we can look back on some really wonderful high notes.  Some of the highlights: We garnered two #1 Billboard magazine SMOOTH JAZZ SONGS singles with Blake Aaron’s Dreamland and most recently Will Donato’s Good On You reached the #1 spot.  We also received the Billboard Smooth Jazz SONG OF THE YEAR with Kim Scott’s single SHINE! Featuring Blake Aaron.  And last but not least Innervision Records was named by Billboard magazine as the #3 Smooth Jazz LABEL OF THE YEAR.  Our fourth year in a row! Congratulations Blake, Will and Kim!
