Smoke and Satin Strut was written while on the road in England, Holland, Italy, Germany, Australia and Finland in a very busy year of travel, teaching and music performances. The song captures the excitement of new places, faces and playing situations, but is also firmly grounded in West Coast contemporary jazz traditions. The all-star, international line-up all get featured on this latest work.

"Half Moon Bay feat. Chris Camozzi" was born from quiet drives along California's rugged coastline, where every winding mile seemed to leave the noise of life behind. Inspired by peaceful days spent reading by the shore, wandering the beach, and reflecting to the rhythm of the waves, the song captures he calm, clarity, and quiet hope found in a place that always feels like home to the soul. Produced by Marco Montoya, "Half Moon Bay feat. Chris Camozzi" is a beautifully crafted contemporary jazz recording that captures the restorative spirit of California's breathtaking coastline. Written by Chris Camozzi and Marco Montoya, the composition blends cinematic melodies with sophisticated grooves, inviting listeners into a place of reflection, peace, and quiet escape. The recording is further elevated by the expressive saxophone work of Otoe Mori and the unmistakable artistry of bassist Darryl Anders, the newest member of Smooth Jazz Alley.

“I Can’t Go,” inspired by a real life story, is about a girl who can’t take any more of her situation and needs an exit strategy. She’s explaining the reasons why she can’t go on anymore with the relationship with her “not so” significant other. The story will unfold under the guise of the forthcoming Situationship album leading as one of the lead tracks to love and heartbreak and all things romance.

From the age of eight, when he first picked up a guitar, it was clear that Vin possessed a natural talent and unwavering dedication to his craft.
